Bob Wants A Cookie!!!
New for me over here at the Slave Driver blog, a video blog of what carriage driver Kar and I did Friday night while bored out of our minds waiting for some business...
Yes, I know, it's stupid, but we're simple minded and easily amused.
Watching that video really makes me miss my "little black boys" (no, this is not a racist comment -- Jim, Bob and Charlie are black-- well some of the time -- and they are boys, but I guess that they are not as little as they were 9 years ago either) Jim loves cherries, he'll even spit the seeds out. Bob just wants all of the love that he can get, it worked really well that he was the outside horse. He had to put up with the people. Jim could just deal with the traffic. I miss Red and Mikey, too. Red could not be more than 4 feet away from his driver. Most of the time, less than that. White shirts were not white within 5 minutes of driving him, either. Fortunately, I get to think of Mikey daily. I have a nice pic of him in my classroom and the Breyer Belgian that I have named Mikey, stands on my desk. I have used him for holding contraband hats and for demonstrations of horse anatomy and evolution. (Can you tell that I am a little obsessed?)
I don't miss the dead time of standing around or trolling for business. I would either stick my foot in my big mouth or be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was miserable. The proms are finished and the kids don't tip anyway and its a little early for summer vacation tourists. Have Fun!!!!
How funny! You should make a vid of when all of them come out and play King of the Mountain on the saw dust pile or when they all are out and start wandering in the small barn!
You could always take a Wes video *wink wink* if you get that bored...

Yep, that's definitely "essence" of horse.

That is hysterical!!
Reminds me of my old horse Brandy who liked "50-50" popcycles (orange on the outside, vanilla ice cream on the inside).
